Microsoft HoloLens, HTC Valve Vive, and Samsung Virtual Reality (VR)

Hololens is absolutely amazing. It is an augmented reality computing platform that you wear on your head. It projects images using advanced sensors. The Hololens is able to incorporate its surrounding and applications can be used in conjunction with it. A video may be simulated onto a wall or a video chat may be projected. The Hololens allows a mixture of a virtual experience with a physical experience. It is a Microsoft product so it will no doubt use a windows operating system.

The Vive virtual reality headset be HTC is another phenomenal looking product. It is very similar to the Oculus Rift but it has a big difference. The Vive is able to track your body movements so your actual whole body can be utilized. The reviews of the Vive seem to indicate that it is a better product than the Oculus Rift. The Vive video shows the user being able to explore every inch of the world. The experience will be incredibly immersive since the users body movements are incorporated into the virtual reality.

The Samsung Virtual Reality headset has a major difference than most virtual reality products. To use the Samsung VR system you must have a Samsung phone. Some say that is a plus because you can incorporate the power of their phones. Others say it is a negative thing because if you don’t have a Samsung phone you can’t use their virtual reality product. It seems like Samsung is making a name for itself in the Virtual Reality world.
