Class 7 Assignment 1: Second Life

This is Battery Park. I have been here many times before. It's a cool world. It even has a hot dog stand!

I started talking to this girl and asked her where the party was

Class 7, Minecraft: Interface Fundamentals

Looking at the orientation video and learning how to access my inventory

getting some basic lessons on crafting to make other items

learning how to split up items in my inventory and the trick to crafting

learning how to split up certain items

watching up on control options although I'm pretty comfortable with the standard asdw layout

learning how to "punch" trees

starting to punch trees

punching trees and noticed it started to get darker outside

looking at a video on crafting basics

messing around with my inventory

Making a pickaxe for myself

started to watch about how to use a pick to mine coal so I can make torches but ti started to get very dark and I couldn't see anything

joined the play.hivemc.com server

started to attempt to play some games

tried to join a hide and seek game but to no avail.

Class 6 Assignment 3

Reading the google group post about the assignment

finding Nicholas Kamuda email address. I found out he is a painter as well and he runs a separate website that sells his artwork.

Researching about game based learning

reading about a annual event in Europe that discusses virtual reality products

Ultimaker is a European company that makes 3D printers

This assignment proved to be much more difficult than I thought it would be. It took me quite a while to find European products for each of the reports that I did. It was very difficult to find people that weren't already "claimed" by my classmates. On top of that it took some extensive detective work to find phone numbers and personal email addresses. In some cases where I couldn't find personal email addresses I put in the company's email address. I also would post their Linkedin profiles and blog accounts.
