Final project: My 4 hours with World Painter

adding in a pond and the bordering ocean to boston's harbor

tried to the best of my abilities to draw out the road structure of the map I used for reference. I know I probably missed a few. Also I flattened out a lot of the land so I would be able to make the roads.

On the map I noticed that some parts of Boston had some vegetation so I added in a forest and some plants. Also in the top right corner I noticed that the Charles river had a dam which lead into Mills pond so I Started to draw that in.

I added in some more naturalistic traits to the geography using the world painter tools. It is kind of hard to see it in this picture though.

This is some of the vegetation I added to the Minecraft world.

Part of the Boston Harbor that I built. I flooded a good bit of the land to make this.

This is just a screenshot of the land that I made flat. All of this was originally mountainous with a lot of trees and vegetation.

Another aerial view of the vegetation and water I added to the world.

This is an assignment from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Collaborative Computing. For details, visit the immersive BC portal athttp://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
